Description

Patients with vitamin D deficiency are advised to take vitamin D supplements during treatment with this medicine.

Uses: Exemestane is an aromatase inhibitors drug that works by reducing the amount of estrogen production by the body and slowing down or stopping the growth of some tumors in the breast - receptor positive breast cancer (breast tumors that need estrogen to grow). It lowers the estrogen (female hormone) in postmenopausal women who have not responded to an anti-estrogen therapy earlier. This drug is administered for treating women with receptor positive breast cancer having an unsuccessful therapy for cancer even after undergoing radiation, surgery, or other medication and 2 to 3 years of tamoxifen therapy for cancer. stages of estrogen-receptor positive breast cancer (advanced breast cancer) in postmenopausal women.
