Anovulatory infertility in the female, Ovidac Injection is used in the treatment of anovulatory infertility. where its administration would form part of recognized treatment regimen involving prior stimulation of follicular maturation and endometrial proliferation e.q. with Menotropin Injection (HUMOG HP). Hypogonadotrophin hypogonadism and cryptorchidism : In the male, HUCOG HP stimulates the interstitial cells of the testes the secretion of androgens and the development of secondary characteristics. With concomitant Menotropin Injection therapy, HUCOG HP stimulates the induction and maintenance of spermatogenesis.

HOW OVIDAC INJECTION WORKS?

Ovidac injection plays a wide role in treating the condition of infertility in men and women. Generic Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is a chief dynamic constituent found in the Ovidac. HCG is a polypeptide hormone, which is produced by the syncytiotrophoblast (fertilized egg) after the conception. It causes the normal development of egg in female’s ovary and stimulates the release of egg during the ovulation. HCG is a well-known preparation intended for females, which assists to treat the infertility in ladies. HCG contains two main subunits like alpha subunits and beta subunits. HCG is an analogue of luteinizing hormone (LH). LH along with follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) plays a role in the development and maturation of normal ovarian follicles and initiates the ovulation in fertile female. HCG stimulates corpus luteum of the ovary to induce progesterone hormone, which play an important role in maintaining the pregnancy in females.

 In men, HCG stimulates the production of testosterone hormone and increases the amount of sperms. HCG acts on the intestinal cells of the penis and induce the androgen formation.

• UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS OF OVIDAC-

  More common side effects of Ovidac injection are breast tenderness, depression, severe headache, nausea, constipation, pain and swelling at the site of injection.

  Severe adverse of Ovidac injection are weight gain, shortness of breath, severe pelvic pain, swelling of hands or legs.

  DRUG INTERACTIONS OF OVIDAC-

  Certain drugs may interact with Ovidac injection like-

  • Aminocaproic acid
  • Anti-coagulant medications like Warfarin, heparin
  • Asparaginase, Anti-hemophilic

  WHO SHOULD NOT USE OVIDAC?

  Ovidac injection should not be intended in some medical conditions-

  WHAT SHOULD I AVOID WHILE USING OVIDAC?

  • Ovidac injection should not be taken in case of pregnancy and lactation time.
  • Don’t share your medicine with any other individuals.
  • Don’t use this injection after the contamination; otherwise it may create many health issues.
  • Always use sterile needles and syringes.
  • Pediatric patients under the age group of 1 year should not take this injection.

  HOW TO STORE OVIDAC?

  • Ovidac injection should be stored at the room temperature 30⁰ C.
  • Keep this drug in cool, dry and disinfected condition.
  • Keep it away from the direct contact of heat, sunlight and moisture.
  • Keep it away from the reach and sight of kids.

  WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF MISSED DOSE OF OVIDAC?

  Try to take Ovidac injection at the same time but if any condition, you miss any dose then consult your physician.

  Don’t use the excess amount of injection.

  WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF OVERDOSE OF OVIDAC?

  Immediately get an emergency medical help from your nearest hospital in case of overdosing of Ovidac injection.
